I love God’s Name. I love Jesus’ Name. I love the Name of the Holy Spirit. I find great comfort, strength, encouragement, ability, guidance, truth, grace and love in each of their names. If you have read my blog for any amount of time, you know this to be true.

Scripture points us to these names. Proverbs 18:10 (NIV) tells us “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” In 1 Corinthians 1:2 (NIV), the Apostle Paul addresses those “who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” And Psalm 113:2 (NIV) says, “Let the name of the Lord be praised, both now and forevermore.”

One easy way to praise the name of the Lord is through music. I love finding music that lifts up the Names of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. These songs help draw me closer to the throne of God.

Today’s song leads me to that place. Regardless of the time of day, our lips, hearts and minds are to be focused on the name of Jesus and what He has done for us. We no longer need to live in the darkness of this world because the Light has come and we shine through His brightness.
