It is exciting to be part of a church that is so willing to serve in many ways. We have crews of\u00a0folks heading out each day to work in the flood areas of our communities.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

With the combined efforts of all the churches in our state, Jesus is showing up in every neighborhood to lend a helping hand. It\u2019s been a blessing to see how believers in Christ are willing to jump in and do everything possible to help rebuild lives.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I\u2019m sharing a couple of letters today that our Lead Pastor and my friend, Shan Moyers asked us to share. One is for those of you who are local. The first letter is for you. The second letter is for those of you who do not live in Colorado. There is still plenty you can do to help with our efforts here.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Whether you are local or out-of-state, please consider sharing this information with others you know who may be willing to help. Send it to your church leaders. Send it to friends and family. Share the message that we are in need. When we partner together, we are much stronger.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

My writing today leaves you with Jesus\u2019 words. While sharing the message of the sheep and the goats in Matthew 25:31-46, Jesus commended those who gave to Jesus when He was in need. He was fed when hungry. He was given water when thirsty. He was given shelter when homeless. He was given clothing when naked.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Then these words were spoken. \u201c\u2018Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invited you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?\u2019 The King will reply, \u2018I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.\u2019\u201d <\/em>(Matthew 25:37-40 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n

May God\u2019s blessings pour over you today as you serve Christ the King!<\/p>\n

Rocky is firing on all cylinders for our 2013 Flood Relief and we know people are looking to help. We have partnered with Samaritan\u2019s Purse who is now on site at our Niwot Campus. Samaritan\u2019s Purse and Rocky Mountain Christian Church staff and volunteer teams are working with families to remove mud and debris, take out damaged flooring, sheet rock and insulation, treat homes for mold and salvage personal items. We also have other opportunities for volunteers, such as food preparation, childcare, cleaning and more.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Here\u2019s how YOU can help. We need volunteers and lots of them to do any of the above projects. So we\u2019re asking if you can share with all of your contacts and friends that we\u2019re looking for volunteers. Here is what they need to know.<\/p>\n

  1. Every weekday at 7:30 am at Rocky Mountain Christian Church\u2019s Niwot Campus, 9447 Niwot Road, we are mobilizing teams of volunteers to all communities, including Frederick and Firestone<\/li>\n
  2. If volunteers want to help but cannot come at 7:30 am, call Rocky at 303-652-2211 or come to Rocky\u2019s Niwot Campus, 9447 Niwot Road, throughout the day. We have needs for hundreds of volunteers.<\/li>\n
  3. If volunteers can\u2019t help today, but maybe another day, click here<\/a> to fill out a volunteer form and we\u2019ll contact them soon.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Dear Friend,<\/p>\n

    As many of you know, the recent Colorado floods have devastated our homes, churches, businesses and communities. A recent report stated more than 19,000 homes have flood damage. It\u2019s incredible. Yet despite the heartache, so many of our people are coming together to serve each other. God is definitely moving and we are incredibly thankful for the opportunities to show His love to everyone.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Many of you have already graciously asked how you can help. Thank you! Here is some information for you on what you can do.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Pray<\/strong>. Ask God to be with the families that were affected by the flood. Pray He shows us the opportunities to help others in need and that they\u2019ll be open to His love. Pray God provides us the resources, volunteers and monetary donations, to help them.<\/li>\n
    2. Donate<\/strong>. The needs of our people are tremendous. A majority of people do not have flood insurance. We have partnered with Samaritan\u2019s Purse to help families remove mud and debris, take out damaged flooring, sheet rock and insulation, treat homes for mold and salvage personal items. We need monetary donations to help people purchase things like dry wall, insulation, water heaters, sump pumps and other supplies. Prayerfully consider helping us through giving to our 2013 Flood Relief at http:\/\/www.rmcc.org\/news-events\/floodrelief\/<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

       <\/p>\n

      At this time, we are not ready to take volunteers from out of town churches or organizations. However, if and when we do, we will certainly contact you.<\/p>\n
