<\/a>But as I sit in the quietness of my home, there isn\u2019t much rushing. Oh there are things to do, but I find great joy in writing about the upcoming event. So I sit in stillness and write. I\u2019m excited to be able to share once again about the celebration of Jesus\u2019 birth and what it means to me.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The song I wish to share with you today is by Mercy Me, \u201cGod with Us.\u201d The song begins by asking two questions. \u201cWho are we?\u201d \u201cWhat do you see?\u201d If we were to answer these questions, we\u2019d note our unworthiness, unloveliness, unholiness and a few other similar words. \u00a0But God answered these questions by sending Jesus.<\/p>\n

God saw great worth in His creation. We were on God\u2019s mind from the beginning and He thought we were worth saving. Enough so that His plan for the redemption of mankind was set into motion 2000 years ago.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This song goes on to remind us some of what we\u2019ve received because of God\u2019s plan. Release. Freedom. A new song. Love. What wonderful gifts from our God.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But then the author urges us to give in return. But what can we give? A tiny offering\u2026our own lives. It is nothing compared to what Jesus gave, but it is all we have. And that is exactly what God wants of you and me. He wants me. He wants you. That\u2019s all.<\/p>\n

So today as you read through these words and listen to the song, let\u2019s remember the day and who it belongs to. Let\u2019s recall the happenings all those years ago when a tiny baby was brought into this world. Let\u2019s rejoice with the shepherds and angels. And then, let\u2019s offer Jesus the gift of ourselves.<\/p>\n
