<\/a>The mountains appeared, with white capped peaks and a gorgeous blue sky. They were truly breathtaking! I\u2019m so thankful to live in this beautiful state!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Today I\u2019d like to share a post from the archives. The song \u201cShine Jesus Shine\u201d has been one of my favorites since I heard it. It has a special meaning to me because of where I\u2019ve sung this tune\u2026in SE Asia! Yes, my team and I sang this song one morning during our devotions and since then, I\u2019ve been pretty attached to it.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n

However, I would appreciate prayer for myself and for those who might hear God\u2019s call to join me. Please pray that they would be attuned to God\u2019s voice. Pray that they would be willing to say \u201cyes.\u201d Pray that they would not hesitate (we need to make the decision on this trip by April 1). Pray that God would show up in each detail making it difficult to believe \u201cit\u2019s not for them.\u201d Pray that I might be an instrument for God to use in any way He chooses.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cShine Jesus Shine\u201d warms my heart. It makes me smile. It reminds me to be grateful for the Light that I have accepted in my heart. But it also reminds me that there is a dark world out there that needs God\u2019s Light as well. I prayerfully ask that God would move in the dark recesses of this world and bring forth His glorious Light.<\/p>\n

I am down to the last two songs to share with you this month. And I must say, just because they are the last two doesn\u2019t mean they are my least favorites. No, the last two songs thrill my heart each time I hear them. I stop and sing them if I\u2019m moving about. I think of Jesus when they are playing and that is the main reason I love these songs.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cShine Jesus Shine\u201d brings light to this dark world. It shares the hope that we receive through Jesus Christ and it shares His truth that brings eternal life.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
There are a couple of phrases that touch me each time I sing them. \u201cSearch me, try, me consume all my darkness\u201d is one. This of course reminds me of the passage in Psalm 139:23, but it\u2019s the last portion that really makes me think.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Perhaps there are some dark areas in my life that need to be enlightened. Okay, I know there are! So yes, Jesus, shine to those areas and brighten up those corners. Take away the darkness. All of it. Consume the darkness! What a prayer!<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The other line that catches my attention is \u201cMirrored here may our lives tell Your story.\u201d You\u2019ve probably heard the phrase, \u201cI may be the only sermon someone ever hears.\u201d As a believer of Jesus, if my life doesn\u2019t mirror Him, I could be turning someone away from Jesus by my actions or my words. My life must tell His story.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The Apostle Paul teaches us to live as children of light in Ephesians. He also teaches that we are to shine as stars in Philippians. Listen to his words. \u201cDo everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the world of life\u2014in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing.\u201d<\/i> (Philippians 2:14-16 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n

So today I share \u201cShine Jesus Shine\u201d with you. Sing it. Believe it. Live it.<\/p>\n
