<\/a>The song I share with you today was one that I heard a lot. It was a chorus we\u2019d sing at youth group or camp. But in my search for these words, I\u2019ve found there\u2019s a whole song to go with it! Verses and all!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
So as I listen to this new-found treasure, I\u2019m reminded of what God calls me to. He might call me to do something on the mission field. He might call me to walk a path that I might not choose for myself. But through it all, God asks me to submission. He calls each of us to submission.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
As I read through these words, I see some defining ideas for submission. Drawing close to God. Trusting God regardless of what may happen. Allowing God to guide and choose. Bearing burdens unafraid. Yielding.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This isn\u2019t the sum of submission, but it is a portion. And when we can sing (or speak) the words of the chorus, we\u2019ve come to understand submission.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
You may not be at the point where this song leads today. But you certainly can work toward it. I pray that you\u2019ll take a few moments to reflect on where you are in your walk with God and ask yourself if these are words you are able to speak.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
What I know is that this is where I want to be. I may not act this way 100% of the time, but I sure want to. And the good news is that as I give God little pieces of myself, He gives me the courage and strength to share even more. It can be the same for you.<\/p>\n
