For those called to the mission field, this became their anthem. For those going into ministry, these lyrics shared their heart\u2019s desire. And even the student and music ministry crowd could use these words as a statement.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fullmeasureofjoy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMAG1492.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3272 \" style=\"border: 3px solid #000000; margin-left: 10px; margin-right: 10px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fullmeasureofjoy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMAG1492-300x197.jpg\" alt=\"IMAG1492\" width=\"169\" height=\"111\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fullmeasureofjoy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMAG1492-300x197.jpg 300w, https:\/\/fullmeasureofjoy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMAG1492.jpg 548w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 169px) 100vw, 169px\" \/><\/a>But what about the students, like me, who were caught between majors? To be honest, I just wanted to learn about God\u2019s Word. Forget the classes that I had to take along the way to fulfill the requirements of my major. I suspect that\u2019s why I have so many credits and I\u2019m nowhere near a college degree!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Well, for everyone who didn\u2019t fall into the above categories, the message of this song is still our anthem, our heart\u2019s desire, and our statement. As a matter of fact, it fits in nicely with my personal mission statement.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u201cWith God\u2019s Spirit leading me,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>I will direct others to Jesus through my<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>words, actions, writing, teaching, prayer, and example.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>My personal mission statement expresses my desire to share God\u2019s message with others. That\u2019s what this particular song shares as well. Whatever the mission, use me.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I have been amazed at how God has used me through the years when I least expected it. Mentoring and teaching has always been a part of who I am, but it\u2019s mainly been in the local church.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>However, when God\u2019s call came for me to go to a foreign mission field, I was surprised. God had never touched my heart in that way before. But what was I to say except, \u201chere I am, Lord!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So as you read through these lyrics and listen to this melody, I pray that you will stop and focus on what God is calling you to do.
