<\/a>This hymn has been sung through the ages. Amazingly, the original author of these words is unknown and even the date is not accounted for. Sometime before 1833, someone wrote these lyrics and an English melody was added to create this hymn that has been sung on Christmas eve for decades.<\/p>\n
