<\/a>Today, I thought I would share some of favorites\u2026I\u2019d love to know what verses you enjoy reading in God\u2019s Word, so get your thinking cap on. I will ask the question at the end.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
I find that as I read through my Bible there are verses that speak volumes. So I pull out my highlighter and mark it. I don\u2019t use a specific color for a specific topic. I just use whatever color I pull out. Consequently, there are random colors throughout my Bible. I sure hope someone doesn\u2019t try to figure out a pattern after I\u2019m gone\u2026they might go mad in the process. Here are some of my highlighted passages.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord\u2019s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good.\u201d<\/em> (Deuteronomy 10:12-13 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThe Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid: do not be discouraged.\u201d<\/em> (Deuteronomy 31:8 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThen she went her way and ate something, and her face was no longer downcast<\/em>.\u201d (1 Samuel 1:18 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cI know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.\u201d<\/em> (Job 19:25 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cI will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. My soul will boast in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me let us exalt his name together.\u201d<\/em> (Psalm 34:1-3 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cBut as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more.\u201d (Psalm 71:14 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThe Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.\u201d<\/em> (Zephaniah 3:17 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201c\u2026We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.\u201d<\/em> (2 Corinthians 1:8-9 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cPray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.\u201d<\/em> (Colossians 4:3-4 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cHumble yourselves, therefore, under God\u2019s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.\u201d<\/em> (1 Peter 5:6-7 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cHis divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called up by his own glory and goodness.\u201d<\/em> (1 Peter 1:3 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cTo him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy\u2014to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forever! Amen.\u201d<\/em> (Jude 1:24-25 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Okay, now it\u2019s your turn. What verses of Scripture stand out to you? What passages do you have underlined or highlighted in your Bible?
