When I arrived home from work yesterday, my husband was on the phone with our bank. It was a pretty intense conversation and continued for nearly an hour. Someone in Bulgaria had managed to hack into our bank account. Not just our debit cards (which has happened so many times for my husband), but our actual bank account.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"sunset\"<\/a>The ID and our password had to be changed. But it seems that wasn\u2019t enough for our bank. They changed our checking and savings account numbers. Once it was all taken care of, Mason hung up the phone and then our minds started reeling.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We thought of all the things that would need to be changed. Every bill would need to be looked at to see if this information needed updated. But then it hit us.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Friday is payday for Mason. Monday is payday for me. Would there be enough time for this information to be changed before these two events happened? It\u2019s hard to say.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Do you ever wonder why God is waiting to send Jesus to gather His Bride? Isn\u2019t the world in a great heap of trouble? Wouldn\u2019t it be lovely if today was the day? Obviously, God has determined that not enough time has taken place between Jesus\u2019 ascension and His second coming. But why?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2 Peter 3 gives us some insight into Jesus\u2019 return. Oh you can believe God will send Jesus. \u201cBut do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.\u201d <\/em>(2 Peter 3:8-9 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

God is waiting for the multitudes of our planet to come to know Him. His desire is for everyone to come to know His saving grace. That\u2019s how patient our heavenly Father is.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So until the day, we wait. We wait patiently as well. But we shouldn\u2019t be sitting around waiting. We should be telling others about Jesus at every opportunity (Matthew 28:19-20). We should be striving to live holy lives (Colossians 3). We should be studying to show ourselves approved (2 Timothy 2:15). We should be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks a question (1 Peter 3:15).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There is plenty to do while we wait!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I know. Waiting is difficult. Waiting isn\u2019t fun. But it\u2019s what we are to do. Wait. Watch. Get yourself ready. Ask others to join you. God does keep His promises and He will send Jesus. And the waiting continues.<\/p>\n
