<\/a>Of course, you know how much I love the different names of God. I have written many words about the power in His names. But today I want to look at a few names from the viewpoint of Philippians 2:9-11 (NIV). \u201cTherefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
What name of Jesus exalts Him for you? What name is above every other name? What name of Jesus causes every knee to bow?<\/p>\n

In Matthew 1:21, Mary is told by the angel of the Lord what name to give her child. Jesus.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Isaiah 9:6 (NIV) tells us what the child given will be called. \u201cWonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ready for a few more?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jesus is the \u201cauthor and perfector\u201d<\/em> of our faith (Hebrews 12:2)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jesus is the \u201ctrue bread from heaven\u201d<\/em> (John 6:32), the \u201cbread of God\u201d<\/em> (John 6:33), the \u201cbread of life\u201d<\/em> (John 6:35) and the \u201cliving bread\u201d <\/em>(John 6:51).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jesus is the \u201cbright and morning star\u201d <\/em>(Revelation 22:16).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jesus is the \u201cfaithful and true witness\u201d<\/em> (Revelation 3:14).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jesus is the \u201cgood shepherd\u201d <\/em>(John 10:11).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jesus is \u201cI AM\u201d<\/em> (John 8:58-59).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jesus is the \u201clight of the world\u201d<\/em> (John 8:12).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jesus is the \u201cMessiah\u201d<\/em> (John 4:25-26).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jesus is the \u201cresurrection and the life\u201d<\/em> (John 11:25-26).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jesus is the \u201cSon of God\u201d<\/em> (Matthew 27:54).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Of course, this is just a sampling of who Jesus is and His names. But this list will be a good starting point.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n What are you searching for today? What name of Jesus will you call upon? I pray that Jesus is the One that you will bow before and confess to be your Lord today.
