Today is a special day in our family. It is my grandson Percy\u2019s second birthday. So because we all so happy today, I\u2019d like to share some happy verses of Scripture with you. Nothing really to say about them, but just to remind one another of what God says about happiness.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"Balloon<\/a>\u201cMay the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.\u201d<\/em> (Psalm 68:3 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cA happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.\u201d<\/em> (Proverbs 15:13 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cI know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live.\u201d<\/em> (Ecclesiastes 3:12 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other.\u201d<\/em> (Ecclesiastes 7:14a \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cIs anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.\u201d<\/em> (James 5:13b \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I know that not everyone reading this blog is happy today. There are some who are ill, some who are angry, some who are sad, some who are confused, some who really don\u2019t know what to feel.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For anyone who isn\u2019t facing a happy day today, let me finish by sharing a passage from the Book of James. Perhaps you\u2019ll find some comfort in his words.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cIs any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.\u201d<\/em> (James 5:13-16 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n
