We usually use the word \u201cmore\u201d to modify another word. More food. More money. More time. More energy. More snow (ha, ha\u2026just kidding). For the most part, when we use the word \u201cmore,\u201d we are lacking something and want an extra amount of what it is we are lacking.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fullmeasureofjoy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/DSCN0549.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4133\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-4133 \" style=\"border: 3px solid #000000; margin-left: 10px; margin-right: 10px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fullmeasureofjoy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/DSCN0549-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"199\" height=\"149\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fullmeasureofjoy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/DSCN0549-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/fullmeasureofjoy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/DSCN0549.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 199px) 100vw, 199px\" \/><\/a>The Macmillan Dictionary tells us that more is \u201can amount or number that is larger than another, larger than it was before or larger than you expected.\u201d<a href=\"#_edn1\" name=\"_ednref1\">[i]<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We see this in Scripture as well. Take a look at a few:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>More valuable \u2013 Matthew 6:26<\/li>\n<li>More powerful \u2013 Mark 1:7<\/li>\n<li>More given \u2013 Luke 11:13<\/li>\n<li>More fruitful \u2013 John 15:2<\/li>\n<li>More blessed \u2013 Acts 20:35<\/li>\n<li>More reconciled \u2013 Romans 5:10<\/li>\n<li>More than we ask or imagine \u2013 Ephesians 3:20<\/li>\n<li>More credited to our account \u2013 Philippians 4:17<\/li>\n<li>More grace \u2013 James 4:6<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>God has blessed us with more than we can imagine in more ways than I can begin to mention here.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But what it really comes down to is the gift that God gave when He sent Jesus to be the sacrifice for our sin. Jesus is \u201cmore.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The song I\u2019ve chosen to share today speaks directly to Jesus and how He is more than our words used to describe Him. He is more than wonderful or amazing or marvelous.
