<\/a><\/p>\nI suspect it has to do with my crazy migraine stuff (that\u2019s another whole blog post), but most recently, I am able to focus and comprehend what is in a book.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Now I\u2019ve never had difficulty with reading the Bible. It has always been the one book I\u2019ve been able to read without struggling. But throw in a text book, or a commentary, or a self-help book, or any other book for that matter, and then I would struggle.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
And here\u2019s the thing. I love to learn. So I would have loved to enjoy reading all those years. I could have had so much more in this little brain of mine.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
So can you imagine how excited I was when I picked up my first book and really understood it? When I could didn\u2019t struggle to pick out one word from another? When at the end of paragraph or page I knew what I had read?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Well let me tell you, it was exciting. My brain had finally clicked into the right position for me to get the most of our reading a book. And I have fallen in love with reading.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I am going through Stephen Ministry training right now and there is a moderate amount of pre-class reading each week. Five years ago I would have probably given up by now or it would have taken me hours to pour over the words on the page. But now, I am able to whiz right through the reading assignments and love that I can understand what I\u2019m reading.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Now you\u2019re probably wondering, \u201cwhat made the difference?\u201d Crazy thing\u2026my migraines cause memory loss. My doctor figured it out and then gave me a migraine preventer to try. I was so amazed at the change. And it was quick too.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Somehow, something has changed in my brain. And life is much easier because of it.Psalm<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I had been praying and praying for this to be fixed and God answered my prayer. He placed Dr. Wanner in my life and in her brilliance, she was able to figure out this craziness in my head. God answered my prayer for understanding what I read in books. God answered my prayer for my memory to be restored (well most of it anyway). God was so good to me through this time of my life.<\/p>\n

When this huge change happened, I felt like I had been given a second chance. So I began writing\u2026a lot! I started writing novels and a blog and Bible studies. And it hasn\u2019t stopped.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Now when I pick up a book, I am blessed with all the information that is pouring into my brain. I love the fact that I can read a page, understand what it says and then retain the information. It\u2019s not something that I take for granted.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
God\u2019s Word has come alive for me. I recall passages much easier and I remember where many are (that\u2019s a pretty big thing too). So today, I want to share a couple of verses from Psalm 119 that speak about God\u2019s Word (the Bible or His Book) and how they affect my life. I pray that you are touched by these verses as well.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cI have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.\u201d<\/em> (Psalm 119:11 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cMay your unfailing love come to me, O Lord, your salvation according to your promise; then I will answer the one who taunts me, for I trust in your word.\u201d<\/em> (Psalm 119:41-42 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cHow sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.\u201d<\/em> (Psalm 119:103-105 \u2013 NIV)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n And one more from Psalm 130:5 (NIV). \u201cI wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n You may not have found such a miraculous change in your life as I have, but I pray that in the midst of what you are dealing with that you are able to hold tight to the Bible and God\u2019s promises. Know that God is with you. Know that He loves you. Know that He desires good for you. Know that you are always on His mind.
