I can\u2019t wait to share some of the things I\u2019ve learned at this conference. It\u2019s been very rewarding. However, no time to write here. So please enjoy one more day of repeated blog posts. I\u2019ll see you in just a little while!<\/p>\n

Never Alone<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"2011-2-15<\/a>Reading. It\u2019s one of those important tasks in life that we must learn to master. Whether we read because we have to, or to learn something or for pleasure, reading is an important part of life.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I\u2019ve added two new books to my stack. One is The Speed of Trust<\/em> by Stephen M. R. Covey. In this book, Covey shares 322 pages of the importance of trust. So far it\u2019s been a good read.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The second book is called Never Eat Alone<\/em> by Keith Ferrazzi. This book is about relationships and how to build them into our lives. Never Eat Alone<\/em> starts with a quote by Margaret Wheatley that I\u2019d like to share with you.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cRelationships are all there is. Everything in the universe only exists because it is in relationship to everything else. Nothing exists in isolation. We have to stop pretending we are individuals that can go it alone.\u201d[i]<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As a believer of Christ, I have read verses of Scripture that pointed me to this conclusion a long time ago. In Genesis 2:18 (NIV), after creating man, God said, \u201cIt is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.\u201d <\/em>From the beginning, God knew mankind needed one another. And it didn\u2019t stop in the Garden of Eden.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Meaningful relationships (both romantic and platonic) can be found throughout Scripture. Abraham and Sarah. David and Jonathan. Daniel and Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. The Apostles. Paul and Barnabas. Paul and Timothy. Aquila and Priscilla. And these are the obvious relationships I can think of quickly. But these are some examples of those who understood the importance of relationships.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A couple of years ago, I was doing some research about the \u201cone another\u2019s\u201d in Scripture. What I found were passage after passage of things we are to do for one another. There are too many to write out individually, but I have listed them here for you to look at as you have the time.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Below you\u2019ll see a word or a phrase. Add \u201cone another\u201d after that word or phrase and that is how we are to be living in relationships. The passages listed after the word is where the \u201cone another\u201d is found. There may be more, but these are the ones I have discovered. If you know of any that I\u2019ve missed, please let me know. I\u2019d love to hear from you.<\/p>\n

Live in harmony with<\/strong> \u2013 Romans 12:16<\/p>\n

Accept<\/strong> \u2013 Romans 15:7<\/p>\n

Be competent to instruct<\/strong> \u2013 Romans 15:14<\/p>\n

Greet<\/strong> \u2013 Romans 16:16<\/p>\n

Agree with<\/strong> \u2013 1 Corinthians 1:10<\/p>\n

Encourage<\/strong> \u2013 2 Corinthians 13:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:11; Hebrews 3:13; Hebrews 10:25<\/p>\n

Serve<\/strong> \u2013 Galatians 5:13<\/p>\n

Bear with<\/strong> \u2013 Ephesians 4:2<\/p>\n

Be kind and compassionate to<\/strong> \u2013 Ephesians 4:32<\/p>\n

Speaking with<\/strong> \u2013 Ephesians 5:19<\/p>\n

Submit to<\/strong> \u2013 Ephesians 5:21<\/p>\n

Bear with and forgive<\/strong> \u2013 Colossians 3:13<\/p>\n

Teach and admonish<\/strong> \u2013 Colossians 3:16<\/p>\n

Spur<\/strong> \u2013 Hebrews 10:24<\/p>\n

Offer hospitality<\/strong> to<\/strong> \u2013 1 Peter 4:9<\/p>\n

Fellowship with<\/strong> \u2013 1 John 1:7<\/p>\n
