<\/a>As I listen to today\u2019s piece of music, I am reminded of Jesus\u2019 parable from Matthew 25:31-46 and His words from Matthew 7:12 and the words Jesus spoke in John 15:11-14.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
I know I\u2019m guilty of being impatient, or judgmental or unsympathetic at times, but after re-reading Jesus\u2019 words and the lyrics to this song, I realize that I am far too selfish and busy and tired and blind to those who are hurting around me.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Now don\u2019t think that I\u2019m being too hard on myself. Maybe I\u2019m \u201cokay\u201d at this, but I need to be better. I need to show Jesus\u2019 love in all circumstances. So I am challenging myself to do so.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Perhaps you could try just a little harder to do the same. I can\u2019t help but imagine what our lives would be like if we all thought about the people in the line, on the road or in the pew through Jesus\u2019 eyes instead of our own.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe People in the Line\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The people in the line, they make me pretty mad sometimes.<\/p>\n
Days when I got a lot to do, they do something so the line won\u2019t move.<\/p>\n
But things being what they are,<\/p>\n
Chances are good that there\u2019s a broken heart<\/p>\n
Standing in front of me or right behind<\/p>\n
And I know it\u2019s Jesus who brings that to my mind.<\/p>\n
About the people in the line.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The people on the road, in the traffic everywhere I go;<\/p>\n
Cut in front or pass me way too fast.<\/p>\n
I go crazy when they drive right past.<\/p>\n
But I wonder if it just might be there\u2019s someone,<\/p>\n
Somewhere that they need to reach;<\/p>\n
They\u2019re driving barely hanging on to hope.<\/p>\n
So I pray to have more grace for things that I don\u2019t know,<\/p>\n
About the people on the road.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
People all around me that I barely see in need of mercy, in need of peace;<\/p>\n
Struggling underneath the heavy load.<\/p>\n
Jesus died for people in the line and people on the road.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The people in the pew, the one sitting next to me and you.<\/p>\n
The mom who\u2019s face is frozen in a frown, her son is sitting in a cell downtown.<\/p>\n
A man is crying as we sing the songs; a girl with needle tracks all down her arms;<\/p>\n
We\u2019ve all got something that we\u2019re going through.<\/p>\n
Surely we\u2019d have more love if we only knew about the people in the pew.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
People all around me that I tend to judge,<\/p>\n
Jesus only sees that they need His love.<\/p>\n
And here I\u2019m asking what I\u2019m gonna do;<\/p>\n
For the people in the line;<\/p>\n
And the people on the road;<\/p>\n
And the people in the pew.<\/p>\n
