I\u2019ve mentioned several times that music has been a large part of my life. From playing musical instruments to singing, I enjoyed every aspect of music.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n So when I heard \u201cRedeemer,\u201d my heart began praising God for yet another generation receiving their own version of the Gospel.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n And with Resurrection Sunday just a week away, let\u2019s praise God for our Redeemer and that He indeed is alive. Mullen about this song and what inspired her to write it. \u201c\u2018Redeemer\u2019 was inspired by the scripture passage in the (Old Testament Book of) Job of when, while under his afflictions, Job stooped and said, \u2018I know that my redeemer lives and at the last day, He will stand upon the earth.\u2019 And how he was going to see God with his eyes and in his flesh\u2014not another but he himself. How powerful\u2014that regardless of what we go through, regardless of what the world tells us\u2014that we can stand up with our shoulders back and our head straight and forward and say, \u2018I know that I know that my Redeemer lives in spite of what I’m going through, in spite of what I’ve seen or what’s going on around me.\u2019\u201d[ii]<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Job understood. Nicole Mullen understood. Now it is up to us to understand. The one thing that we can believe and know is that our Redeemer lives. Since then, any song about my Redeemer has been special.<\/p>\n
