I know it\u2019s not Monday, but I remembered a song as I was going to bed last night. \u201cThe Night the Angels Sang.\u201d[i]<\/a> It was a cantata our church sang years ago\u2026I was in my teens. But as the lyrics and music filled my head, I was reminded just how precious music is to me and what it means to me at Christmastime.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"DSC03873m\"<\/a>I found a couple recordings of this cantata which was pretty awesome, so I\u2019m sharing one of them with you. I pray that you will the time to listen to the entire piece\u2026however, I know we are all busy and it isn\u2019t the most professional piece I\u2019ve shared with you. But the memories that fill my heart are bountiful.<\/p>\n

As you listen to this cantata, I pray that you will be reminded of the Scripture that depicted this scene. Luke 2:8-20 is the passage of this account. A couple of things stand out to me. First, as soon as the angels left the shepherd, they hurried off to see the Christ child. I must ask, how quickly do you seek to be with Jesus each day? Do you meet with Him first thing or are there other things that come first? I pray that you will learn a little something from the shepherds.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And then I also love that after they saw Jesus they \u201cspread the word concerning what had been told them about this child.\u201d<\/em> (Luke 2:17 \u2013 NIV) Are you spreading the word about Jesus? Are you sharing this message with friends and family? This is the perfect season to do so.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And then one more thing, the shepherds returned to their sheep glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen. We each have a job to head off to today. As we go out into our world, do others see us glorifying and praising God? Do they notice something different about you and me? I pray that they do.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
