I’ve missed this! Missed writing. Missed sharing. Missed you!
So you’re probably wondering what’s been happening in my life to keep me from doing something that has been such a big part of my life. Well, I’m here to share some of the happenings in my world over the past year.
The last time you heard from me, I was enjoying some creative time with God. Creative Bible Journaling is still an important part of who I am. I write three new studies each year for the ladies at Rocky to enjoy. For the past six months we have been working through The Lord is My…Psalm 23. You can expect to read some of my insights on this topic soon.
Rocky also had a fabulous Women’s Retreat in February. 175 women gathered for a weekend to deepen their relationships with Jesus and friends. It was a blast!
I went to Israel! I’m not sure that I can express what this trip meant to m in words, but I’m gonna try. I’ll be sharing some insights on that adventure here as well. All I can say is, if you EVER get the opportunity to visit that special part of the world, DO IT! Forget all the details and cost, just go. It will impact your life.
My husband has had some health issues, but seems to be doing well right now. I’m so thankful for the prayer warriors who have prayed over him (and me) since August. We got hit by a bad hail storm in August. Still waiting for things to “get fixed.” I landed in the hospital with vertigo…still experience it on occasion. I’m thankful for medication and our medical folks. What a blessing they have been to us during this season.
Through all of this, depression hit me hard. It’s been a struggle and journey, but I am beginning to see some improvement. I am so thankful that God has been with me through this difficult time. I honestly don’t know how I would have made it through without Him. Again, you’ll probably hear more about this.
I’m planning two big events for 2020. Fresh Grounded Faith will be coming to Rocky on May 1-2. Jennifer Rothschild, Angie Smith and Shaun Groves will be hitting the stage to share how Jesus is impacting their lives and how He will do the same for anyone who is willing to surrender their life to Jesus. I am looking forward to this upcoming weekend (you can buy your ticket for the event at rocky.church/events).
In September 2020, our Lead Pastor will be taking another group to Israel. If you’re interested, there will be more information to come. I’ll try to keep you posted here.
Colorado is in a deep freeze right now. It’s cold and snowy and I’m listening to Christmas music. If I could sit here in my warm office and write all day, that would be pretty awesome, but alas, our late start at the office is about to come to an end, so I better finish up here.
Thanks for taking the time to read through my thoughts this morning. I’m praying that I will continue to keep writing. I need it. So for now, my goal is once a week. I don’t want to overcommit or get overwhelmed, so we’ll start slowly.
Y’all are so precious to me. Thank you for hanging out with me!
Grace and peace be yours in abundance,
Donna
