Enlightened

Have you paid much attention to the verse on the right side of my blog lately? It’s been a while since I’ve read it. I wanted to remind myself of why I write each day. This was a great reminder.

sunrise 1-28-15“I pray also that they eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe (Ephesians 1:18-19a – NIV)

Why did I choose this verse so many years ago? Because I wanted my readers to find God and be enlightened by His presence. I wanted to get out of the way and let God do His work through Full Measure of Joy.

For the most part, I believe this has been the case.

The next few verses in Ephesians were my guidelines for writing this blog every day. “That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 1:19b-20 – NIV)

That same mighty power that raised Jesus from the dead is what I’ve been able to draw upon each day to share my thoughts, my passions, my love for God and Jesus and how the Holy Spirit works in my life.

I needed to revisit these words again today. Maybe you do too. In any case, I pray that you dig deep into God’s Word and seek His wisdom as you are enlightened. I also pray that you utilize the power that is given to each believer.

Thanks for reading!

Grace and peace be yours in abundance,

Donna
